Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and prior travel assignment history for a Level II trauma center setting.

Details

• 13-week assignment in the CT Tech unit
• Evening shifts, 7 on/7 off schedule, Wednesday-Tuesday, 1400-0000
• Weekend rotation required every other weekend
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• Adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department settings
• Performs abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies
• Utilizes 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement post-processing techniques
• Performs special procedures including coronary CTA, vascular CTA, brain perfusion, and biopsies
• Uses GE CT equipment

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• BLS and ARRT (R)(CT) certifications required
• ACLS certification required and must be active at time of consideration
• Wisconsin or Compact license required (license required if applicable; pending license may be accepted)
• Prior travel assignment experience required, or candidates with Level I or Level II trauma experience may be considered
• Level II trauma center experience required; Level I trauma experience preferred
• Teaching and community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration required
• Proficient in peripheral IV starts and venipuncture required
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety required
• SSN, DOB, and RTO required for consideration

• First-time travelers not accepted unless they have prior Level I or Level II trauma experience
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• Facility cannot accommodate candidates with latex allergies
• Travelers may return to this facility only after a minimum 1-year separation
• Travel pairs accepted
• NIHSS certification may be pending at offer but must be completed during compliance
• Passport-style badge photo required within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Two supervisor references required after offer acceptance
