Description
American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN with 1-2 years of specialty experience and MN licensure for a 12-hour day shift role in a Level III trauma teaching hospital.
Details
- Covers PACU/Pre-Op/Phase 2 at both the main hospital and Day Surgery Center (two locations within the same hospital system)
- Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours (0800, 0930, or 1100 start times)
- 1:1 patient ratios
- Floating required between the main hospital and Day Surgery Center, and potentially to affiliate hospitals nearby
- Weekend shifts as needed per unit needs
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic (Excellian) charting system
Requirements
- Active MN RN license (pending license accepted)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS (PALS preferred)
- 1-2 years of PACU/specialty experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic/Excellian charting experience required
- 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide pre-op, PACU, and Phase 2 recovery care across surgical specialties including neuro, spine, ortho, cardiac, bariatrics, and more
- Teaching hospital with Level III trauma designation, 317 staffed beds
- Scrubs provided by the unit
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be considered
- Returning staff must have a 3-month gap since their last shift worked as perm staff or per diem
- RTO should ideally be no more than 5 days
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
