Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for the Adult Emergency Department, requiring an active OK or compact RN license and ACLS certification in a trauma-focused setting.
Details
- Adult Emergency Department within a hospital setting
- Trauma and travel required within the unit
- Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA)
- Minimum of one year of RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Strong knowledge of nursing theories, practices, and techniques
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well with other staff
- Ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
- Basic computer skills required
- Full DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care to a diverse patient population ranging from simple to complex cases
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and communicate changes in physician orders
- Assist physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments
- Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products as prescribed
- Collaborate with patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
- Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Facility strictly enforces compliance and credentialing deadlines, with no flexibility for start date delays
- Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
- 30-day written notice required for early cancellation or termination of assignment
