Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for an acute care Cardiac Cath Lab requiring 2+ years of cath lab experience and ARRT or RCIS certification.
Details
- Acute care Cardiac Cath Lab setting with 4-6 rooms
- EPIC EMR used for charting; Pyxis used for medication dispensing
- Schedule consists of Tuesday through Friday, 9-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Call coverage and weekend shifts may be required depending on staffing needs
- Floating requirements have not been identified at this time
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in diagnostic and/or interventional cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology
- Graduate from an approved school of radiologic technology
- ARRT or RCIS certification required, or CVT with 4 years of cath lab experience; RCIS exam eligibility accepted at time of hire
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Clinical competence in basic cardiac physiology/pathology and 12-Lead EKG interpretation required
- Experience with physiologic monitoring, intra-cardiac pressure waveform knowledge, and pacemaker operations (implantable and external) required
- Familiarity with radiographic equipment related to cardiac care required
Additional Information
- Provide technical support and assistance to physicians during diagnostic and invasive cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures
- Perform scrub and hemodynamic monitoring duties during cardiac catheterizations and vascular/interventional radiology procedures
- Assist in the holding area and provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedural patient care and instruction
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to procedures
- Scrubs required as part of dress code
- Complete service partner orientation on first day onsite along with department-specific orientation
- Required training modules must be completed prior to starting
- COVID vaccination or declination form required; unvaccinated staff must wear masks
- Returning travelers with prior employment at this facility must disclose it for a DNU check
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Facility allows cancellation of up to 24 hours within a 13-week assignment with no penalty
