Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a day shift contract role requiring 2+ years of CT experience and ARRT certification at a Level IV trauma center.
Details
- Level IV trauma center, Level III NICU, and advanced comprehensive stroke center teaching hospital with 228 beds
- 2 CT suites with an average daily census of around 100 patients
- Patient population ranges from young adults to geriatrics including general CT, stroke, and oncology patients
- Community hospital setting that sees a wide variety of cases
- 3 total CT Techs per shift supported by a transporter, lead tech, and manager during the day
- Radiologist reads on-site during the day and offsite at night, with RT support 24/7 and a rapid response/code team available
- Uses Epic EMR, Pyxis medication dispensing, and McKesson PACS
- Equipment includes a Canon 80 Slice and GE 40 Slice CT scanner
- 8-hour day shift schedule from 0600-1430, 40 hours per week
- No floating required
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
- BLS and ARRT certification required
- Wisconsin license required if applicable
- Active license required at time of application
- Experience with young adult to geriatric patient populations including general CT, stroke, and oncology cases
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Candidate's middle name or initial, date of birth, and last 4 of SSN needed for consideration
- At least one professional reference dated within the last year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
Additional Information
- First-time travelers considered if they have trauma experience
- Weekend rotation dependent on specific requisition
- RTO requests go through the unit manager
- Lead Tech creates the schedule
- Will work holidays that fall on a regularly scheduled work day
- 2-3 shifts of departmental orientation following NEO
- Scrubs must be any solid professional color with no graphics, logos, or designs
- Free parking available in designated employee areas
- No radius rules apply; local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Former employees of Advocate Health or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignment
