Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring compact RN license and TNCC certification.

Details

• Work in a General Emergency Department treating combined adult/pediatric patients
• Level II Trauma Center setting within a short-term acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (1900-0730)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Experience managing dysrhythmias and cardiac monitoring required
• Central line care/management and IV starting/maintenance skills required
• Experience with IV vasopressors required
• Respiratory skills required including CPAP/BiPAP management and care of ventilated patients
• Proficiency in isolation precautions/PPE and triage required
• One professional reference required

• Provide emergency care across a combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Manage patients requiring advanced respiratory and cardiac interventions
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine/booster required with religious or medical exemptions only

• Local candidates not accepted if residing within 75 miles of the facility
• Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
• RTO up to 7 days can be auto-approved
