Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and multiple life support certifications.

Details

Work in a hospital Emergency Department within a full-service medical center offering a wide range of specialties
12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week guaranteed
Every other weekend required and holidays as needed
No on-call responsibilities
Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred

Requirements

Active MA RN license required in hand prior to consideration, compact license not accepted
Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Department experience required
Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and TNCC
Candidate must have their own vehicle for this assignment
Skills checklist and supervisory reference specific to Emergency Room experience required, current within 1 year

Additional Information

Provide emergency nursing care within a 298-bed teaching hospital recognized for patient safety excellence
Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled, including Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through the following weekend
No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted for the duration of the assignment
Personal scrubs of any color permitted per dress code
Includes 8 hours of non-billable orientation
Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
