Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position requiring ACLS, TNCC, and prior acute care experience.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Room of a 217-licensed-bed regional health center
- 17-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:6, averaging 40 visits per day
- Patient population is mainly adults and geriatrics
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Call coverage needed daily to support 24/7 volume
- Uses MediTech EHR system
Requirements
- Active RN license (Iowa or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and TNCC
- 1-2 years of experience in an acute care facility required
- Must pass Iowa SING background check including criminal and child abuse portions
- All background checks (county and state) must be fully cleared prior to start; instant or statewide searches not accepted
- Mandatory reporter certification required (Child and Adult)
- 10-panel drug screening required, including opiates
- Titers required within the last 12 months for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care to a mix of adult and geriatric patients in a busy ER setting
- Facility offers a full range of services including Critical Care, Med/Surg, OB, Pediatrics, Cath Lab, and more
- Monday or Tuesday start dates accommodated
- Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate
- Cannot have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
