Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 3-5 years of MRI experience and ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification for a Level II Trauma Center.

Details

• Dynamic MRI environment with 6 scanners (5 currently operating), a mix of GE and Siemens equipment
• Advanced imaging procedures including cardiac, functional, neuro, body, musculoskeletal, and specialty exams
• Patient population includes outpatient, inpatient, and ED cases with implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, ventilated, sedated, whole body, and cardiac cases
• Weekly census of 250-300 patients with 1:1 patient ratios
• Monday-Friday 8-hour day shifts from 6:15 AM-2:45 PM
• Weekend on-call rotation approximately every 8th weekend, including on-site Saturday hours with a compensatory weekday off
• On-call hours Saturday and Sunday nights 2100-0630, with backup on-call Saturday and Sunday 0630-2100 and a 30-minute response time
• Weekly rotating responsibility for first-shift backup on-call
• No floating required - MRI only

Requirements

• License required if applicable
• BLS and ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required
• 3-5 years of MRI experience required
• Minimum 12 months of core work experience in MRI, with most recent experience within the last year
• Experience with GE and Siemens MRI equipment required
• Experience with implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, ventilated, sedated, whole body, and cardiac patient types preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with GE Discovery 750W, Siemens Aera, Siemens Magnetom Skyra, and McKesson PACS required
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Candidate's middle name or initial, date of birth, and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

• Work alongside a Lead Tech/Coordinator and Imaging Assistants - traveler will never be alone
• 3 days of orientation provided
• Weekend rotation maximum every 3rd weekend
• Holiday coverage based on unit needs
• Scrubs may be any professional color
