Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring a TX or compact RN license and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Details
- Work in the ICU/CCU of a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- May be required to float to a different floor or to another campus
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or compact) required in hand at time of consideration
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of ICU/CCU experience required
- Altera charting system experience preferred but not required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Additional Information
- Deliver direct, individualized nursing care using the nursing process across a broad range of medical conditions
- Collaborate with other healthcare disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and outcomes
- Must reside 150 miles or more from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
- Facility conducts its own onsite drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for any positive result
- Candidates should avoid any products, including CBD, that could result in a positive drug screen
- Previous perm staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- RTO may be accommodated if the traveler can work full hours around the time off or miss only 1-2 shifts maximum
- Clinicians must complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting the offer or have a documented plan for timely completion
- Non-billable orientation modules averaging 6-8 hours are completed during orientation
