Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Critical Access Hospital setting, requiring ARRT(R)(CT) certification and at least 1 year of CT experience.

Details

• Critical Access Hospital providing coverage for ambulatory, clinic, outpatient, inpatient, ER, and OR areas
• Stroke-designated facility performing x-rays, CT's, and CTA's
• Trauma cases are common due to proximity to a major highway
• Orthopedic clinic nearby requires joint imaging and procedures support
• Uses EPIC EMR and McKesson PACS system
• Equipment includes Siemens 128 slice CT scanner, Siemens Ysio X-ray, Siemens MIRA portable, GE OEC C-arm, and Hologic Mini-C
• Shift lengths of 8, 10, or 12 hours with various start times
• Scheduled by the department director, no self-scheduling
• Works approximately every third or fourth weekend
• Holiday coverage required based on need
• On-call only required if department is short-staffed, with overnight response expected
• May float to assist with radiology injections/biopsies, with training provided

Requirements

• ARRT(R)(CT) and BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of CT experience required
• Strong CT skills preferred over mammography experience
• X-ray and CT knowledge/skills required
• May need to operate C-arm in surgery for emergent cases
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Driver's license copy required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform x-ray and CT imaging across multiple care settings including ER, OR, inpatient, and outpatient
• Work alongside a Radiology Director available during weekdays and on-call after hours for emergencies
• One Radiology RN available Monday through Friday
• Approximately one week of department-specific orientation provided
• Environment can be busy and demanding due to high ER and clinic volume
• Success in this role benefits from strong communication skills, willingness to learn, and a helpful, proactive attitude
• Candidates must not have been employed full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• RTO must be submitted upfront, with no additional time off approved after submission
