Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 34-bed Emergency Department requiring an active CA license and 2+ years of ED experience.
Details
- 34-bed Emergency Department serving patients of all ages and diagnoses
- Basic ED Level 3 semi/stroke receiving center with no trauma designation
- 4:1 patient ratio
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 1800-0630
- Every other weekend rotation required
- No on-call requirement
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications
- PALS or ENPC certification required
- MAB and NIHSS certifications preferred
- 2 years of ED experience required (hard requirement)
- Epic EMR experience required
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year
Additional Information
- Responsible for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care including direct patient care and patient/family education
- Provides holistic, individualized care across a wide range of ED presentations including pediatrics, trauma, psychiatric, respiratory, and neurological cases
- Works within a STEMI and Stroke Certified facility
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, 12-lead EKG interpretation, and triage
- Experience with procedural sedation, IV therapy, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction patients
- Holiday coverage required for one assigned holiday per contract (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, or Christmas)
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
- Returning staff must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible as a traveler
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
- First-time travelers not specified as accepted or excluded
