Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer for a day shift role with no prior experience required and ARDMS or CCI certification needed.

Details

Cardiovascular Sonography unit within a cardio procedures department
Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 5 days per week
40 hours per week
No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements

Requirements

Accredited Associate's Degree in Sonography, Radiology, or related field, or completion of a 12-month ultrasound program
BLS certification required
RDCS certification through ARDMS, or RCS, ACS, or RCCS certification through CCI
No prior experience required
License required if applicable

Additional Information

Perform cardiac ultrasound evaluations and communicate acute findings to the cardiologist
Route studies for interpretation and obtain pertinent patient health history prior to examination
Prepare procedure rooms and equipment for daily use, ensuring timely and efficient turnover between procedures
Troubleshoot and identify equipment problems and report issues to the appropriate supervisor
May perform staff training and education
