Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Rehab RN for an inpatient rehabilitation unit requiring 2 years of recent specialty experience and both KS/MO or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Inpatient Acute Rehab unit with average daily census of 52 and 60 beds
- Patient ratio of 1:6 on all shifts
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:45am to 7:15pm
- 4 weekend shifts required per scheduled period
- Floating required within service line and all MSI units, and may extend between departments, units, and facilities as needed
- Holiday coverage required if a holiday falls on scheduled days
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active KS and MO RN licenses or compact license required in hand at time of consideration
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience required, with no employment gaps greater than 90 days in the past year
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Experience in acute inpatient rehab required, including skills in wound care, tracheostomy care, feeding tube management, neurological assessment, orthopedic care, and IV therapy
- Two professional references required, one from a supervisor and one from a charge RN, both from within the past year
- Social Security number required at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive rehabilitative nursing care including wound care, tube feeding management, mobility assistance, and neurological monitoring
- Navy blue scrub color required for RNs
- Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered, as local candidates are not accepted
- Maximum RTO of 7 days, with all time-off requests finalized prior to consideration
- Returning staff must have a 3-month break in service after 18 months of previous assignment
- Former permanent employees of BJC or Saint Luke's must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Travel partners are not accepted for this position
