Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and Siemens CT scanner proficiency.
Details
- Work setting includes Adult Acute Care, Emergency Department, and Pediatric Acute Care
- Performs CT imaging of abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, and spine/musculoskeletal with and without contrast
- Equipment includes PACS and Siemens CT scanner, working independently
- Uses multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) and region of interest (ROI) measurement for image processing
- 1:1 patient ratio on nights and weekends
- 3x12 hour night shifts from 19:00-7:30, blocked Friday/Saturday/Sunday schedule
- Participates in a 6-7 week call rotation
- No floating requirement
- EPIC used for documentation and communication
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- ARRT (CT), ARRT (R), and BLS certifications required
- License required if applicable
- Siemens CT scanner experience required, as traveler will work independently
- Experience with contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture required
- Experience with isolation precautions and PPE required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Experience with 3D rendering (MIP, surface shaded displays, volume rendering) preferred
- Vascular CTA experience preferred
- Adult and Pediatric Outpatient setting experience preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Scrubs are not provided; royal blue scrubs required
- Unit orientation is 10 hours
- Candidates must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- Up to 7 days of RTO auto-approved excluding holidays, no RTO during first week of assignment, and no additional RTO after signing
- Former Novant/New Hanover PERM/PRN/EP employees must wait 12 months before applying, with disclosure of hospital name and employment dates required
- Travel pairs are allowed if on different units and disclosed
- Local candidates accepted at a lower rate within 50 miles of the facility
- 13-week assignment with potential for 36 hours per week
