Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least 1 year of experience and a WA or compact RN license in hand, with first-time travelers welcome to apply.

Details

• Critical access hospital setting with 23 total staff beds on the MS/Tele unit
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5
• Uses Epic for charting
• Day (7:00-19:00) and Night (19:00-7:00) shifts, 3x12 hours
• Weekends required, minimum every other weekend
• Floating required between contracted facility and a nearby sister hospital depending on census
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, and port access/management
• Respiratory skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, oxygen administration, and ABG interpretation
• Cardiac monitoring skills including dysrhythmia interpretation/management and rapid response/code team participation
• Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for submission

Additional Information

• Provide med/surg telemetry nursing care within a critical access hospital environment
• Scrubs may be any color for RN/Allied staff
• No parking fee at this facility
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles
