Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring stroke patient experience and MD or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Med Surg unit in an acute and sub-acute care hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
• Must be willing to take telemetry patients as needed
• Weekend schedule to be determined by facility
• On-call schedule to be determined by facility
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• NIHSS certification required (may be obtained within 48 hours of offer if not already held)
• 2+ years recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
• 2+ years experience working with stroke patients, clearly listed on resume
• Must be willing to obtain mRs/SIREN certification within 48 hours if offered
• Must be willing to complete Basic EKG test and score 85% or higher within 48 hours if offered
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• COVID vaccination required with state-recorded proof; declinations not accepted

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with professional nursing standards
• Accountable for quality of nursing services delivered to assigned patients
• Must be willing to work the facility's schedule without restrictions
• Local candidates accepted
• No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested per assignment
