Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active NV license and C-EFM/AWHONN fetal monitoring certification.
Details
- Work in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit with 8 labor beds, 8 antepartum beds, 4 triage beds, and 2 OR suites
- Unit is part of a facility with a 27-bed Mother Baby unit and a 24-bed Level III NICU
- Staffing includes a CNC, OB tech, transition nurse, and 6+ RNs per shift
- Patient ratios are 1:2 for labor and 1:3 for antepartum
- Uses standard L&D equipment including NOVII wireless monitors and centralized fetal strip surveillance
- EMR systems used include CPN and Meditech for order entry and labs
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM over a 13-week assignment
- Rotating weekend requirement
- Floating required to Mother Baby unit for maternal care and as a task nurse to other hospital units
Requirements
- Active NV RN license required
- Current certifications required: ACLS, NRP, BLS, and C-EFM or AWHONN fetal monitoring
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Labor & Delivery
- Must be able to serve as circulator for C-sections
- Experience with C-sections, labor and delivery, recoveries, and magnesium titration preferred
- Primary baby catching ability preferred
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including C-section circulating duties, recoveries, and magnesium titration management
- Collaborate with CNCs, OB techs, and transition nurses as part of a dedicated unit care team
- Best fit for self-motivated, energetic team players
- Dress code requires black scrubs, or black bottoms with pink tops
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as no local candidates will be considered
