Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Blended ICU position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and ACLS/NIH certification.
Details
- Blended ICU/CVICU unit within a 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center
- Level III Trauma Center and Certified Chest Pain Center
- 16-bed unit with 1:2 patient ratios
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Common diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A. Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR and TVAR
- Uses Baxter pumps and Medhost EHR
- 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
- On-call responsibilities required
- Floating required to Intermediate Care Unit as primary RN and to ED holding for admitted patients, as needed
Requirements
- Active RN license (AZ or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications required)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in a blended ICU/CVICU setting handling complex cardiac, respiratory, and trauma cases
- Weekly orientation schedule
- One call-out permitted per contract; additional call-outs require documentation and case-by-case review
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
- 48-hour shifts may be considered but are not guaranteed
- No block scheduling requests accommodated
