Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a dual CT/X-Ray role requiring 2+ years hospital experience in both specialties.
Details
- Radiology/CT department in a 169-bed regional referral hospital
- Night shift, 10-hour shifts, Saturday/Sunday/Monday/Tuesday 8:30 PM-7:00 AM
- Part of shift/holiday rotation required for weekend coverage
- Must care for patients across all age groups
- Performs CT and X-Ray exams including fluoroscopy, digital radiography, portables, and OR c-arm procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years current CT Tech experience in a hospital setting
- Minimum 2 years current X-Ray Tech experience in a hospital setting
- High proficiency in both CT and X-Ray specialties required
- Proficiency with fluoroscopy, digital radiography, portables, and OR c-arm
- Active BLS certification required
- Active ARRT registration required
- New Hampshire Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy License required if applicable
- Must own a personal vehicle
Additional Information
- Positions patients on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum imaging views as directed by physician
- Operates radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment, adjusting controls for exposure factors such as time and distance
- Operates film processing equipment and mobile radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment in OR, ER, or at bedside
- Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required
- Basic computer skills required
- Dress code includes hospital-provided blue scrubs or business casual with lab coat; no hooded sweatshirts, closed-toe shoes required, hair pulled back if past shoulder length, no dangling earrings
- Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
- RTO requests must be submitted prior to assignment start and are limited to no more than 5 days
- Previous travel experience preferred, though first-time travelers may be considered
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered for this assignment
