Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care setting requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification.
Details
- Acute care radiology department performing CT imaging for both adult and pediatric patients
- EPIC EMR used, with Canon/Toshiba and Fuji Synaps imaging equipment
- 2 CT Techs cover inpatient, 1 covers outpatient
- No dedicated lead tech in the department; reports to Radiology Director/Manager
- Radiologist in-house 7am-7pm, on-call 7pm-7am
- Day shift schedule alternating M,T,W and W,Th,F with shift times of 7a-730p, 8a-830p, or 830a-9p
- 36 guaranteed hours per week over 12-hour shifts
- Call and holiday coverage required, with possible weekend coverage if needed to cover for a tech
- Floor-specific orientation generally up to 2 weeks depending on modality
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- ARRT (CT) certification required, CT certification preferred
- WV state license required if applicable
- Must be able to start IVs
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Must be able to perform CT exams across all departments and patient populations
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging across all hospital areas for adult and pediatric patients
- Black scrubs required for all techs in all modalities
- Radiation badge provided by staffing agency, not facility
- First-time travelers may be considered
- Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Previous perm employees must have a 2-year break before returning as travelers
- Previous travelers who worked a full year must take a 2-year break before returning
- Travelers may not work within the WVU system for longer than one year cumulatively without a 2-year break
