Description
American Traveler is hiring a RN - Med/Surg Tele for the Emergency Department requiring an active MA license, Level 1 trauma experience, and boarder patient care expertise.
Details
- Emergency Department setting at a Level 1 trauma facility
- Manages Med/Surg Tele patients boarding in the ED while awaiting inpatient beds
- Averages 40 patients per day with typical ratios of 5:1
- 12-hour night shift schedule, every other weekend required
- Uses Epic EMR
- 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS-AHA and ACLS-AHA
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with boarder patients in the ED required
- Must pass Day 1 tele/ECG and medication testing within 2 attempts
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients boarding in the ED
- Weekly orientation with any color scrubs permitted
- Required vaccines include COVID (with booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed
- Minimal time off requests will be considered
- Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for 6+ months and in good standing to be considered
- Local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered
- First-time travelers may be considered
