Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Level II Trauma Center requiring 2 years of experience and a MO or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a Level II Trauma and Level II Stroke Center
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 1900-0730
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required; pending licenses considered but must be in hand before start
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• BSN preferred
• Must be able to start IV lines and draw labs
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, CVA care, wound care, and IV insulin protocols preferred

Additional Information

• Provide med/surg and telemetry nursing care including IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line and PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Care for patients with neurological/psychiatric conditions, orthopedic trauma, and post-surgical needs
• Manage respiratory support including oxygen administration and oral suctioning
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Previous employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
