Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of clinical experience and ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification for a Level I Trauma academic hospital setting.
Details
- MRI Tech unit at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma academic teaching hospital
- Day/Evening shifts with 8 and 12-hour schedules
- Primary schedule Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday
- Friday and Monday 8-hour day shifts starting between 6:30-8:30 AM
- Saturday and Sunday 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- No on-call requirements
- Holiday coverage as needed
- Travelers required to float as needed
- GE MRI equipment and PACS imaging system used
- Epic charting system preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of clinical MRI experience required
- ARRT Magnetic Resonance (MR) certification or ARMRIT certification required
- AHA BLS certification required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology required
- License required if applicable
- Level I Trauma experience required; Level II Trauma experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Skills in abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular MRI imaging required
- Experience with special imaging procedures including CINE, diffusion, gradient echo, MIP, MRP, and spin/T1/T2 weighted images
- Proficiency in contrast media preparation/administration and peripheral IV starts
- Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety required
- Must be able to communicate independently and confidently with inpatient and ED teams
Additional Information
- Candidates must live 50+ miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
- Pass/fail telemetry exam required prior to start with strict passing criteria for both adult and pediatric rhythm identification
- Two attempts allowed to pass the telemetry exam, with a cardiac interpretation review course required before a third attempt
- Parking permit required for onsite parking, with alternative transportation options available
- First-time travelers may be considered
