Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2 years of PCU experience and strong dysrhythmia recognition skills.
Details
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting on the 2nd floor, 20-bed unit
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 13-week assignment
- Uses GE cardiac monitoring and Hospira IV pumps
- Expanse EMR system in use
- Floating required to Med Surg, ICU (for border patients), and Emergency Department (for ED holds)
- Every other weekend required, or equivalent based on staffing needs
Requirements
- Active Compact or NH RN license required at time of consideration
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Certification required
- 2 years of hospital PCU experience required
- Strong dysrhythmia recognition skills and critical drip experience required
- Pre-post cardiac cath and pacer patient care experience preferred
- Prior HCA experience preferred
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care to progressive care unit patients requiring continuous monitoring
- Collaborate with a care team of 5 RNs and 2 LNAs per shift, flexing with patient volume
- Professional attire required with no specific scrub color mandated
- Unit guidelines and policies will be reviewed during interview and orientation
- Self-directed, confident, and team-oriented personality traits are valued for this role
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
