Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for a Level II Trauma Center requiring acute care case management experience and previous travel nursing experience.

Details

• Acute hospital setting within a Level II Trauma Center with 571 total staffed beds across campuses
• Case Management/Utilization Review role focused on care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment, DME orders, and plan of care
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:25-30
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Float requirement to all areas of the hospital including Colby and Pacific campuses
• Charting system is Epic

Requirements

• Active WA RN license (Standard or Compact) required in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care case management experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• AIDA EMR experience preferred
• Discharge planning and care coordination experience required
• Diverse case management experience across Med Surg, LLOS, and ED strongly preferred
• Emergency Department and ICU experience preferred
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility as permanent staff, traveler, or per-diem

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment, DME ordering, and plan of care management in compliance with CMS regulations
• Scrubs of any color permitted except reddish-orange
• Facility-paid parking provided
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application, as post-submission requests may not be granted
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
