Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for a day shift position requiring active CA RN license and case management experience, with pediatric background preferred.

Details

• Work in the Case Management department of an acute hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs
• Uses Epic charting system
• Business casual attire required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• BSN required
• Minimum 2-3 years of case management experience required
• Pediatric experience strongly preferred
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Skills in care coordination, discharge planning, plan of care, and admission criteria
• Experience utilizing InterQual criteria preferred
• Knowledge of CMS and The Joint Commission regulatory standards

Additional Information

• Coordinate patient care and manage discharge planning in an acute hospital setting
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure appropriate utilization review practices
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Recommend keeping RTO under 7 days per assignment when possible
• Former UCLA contractors, travelers, or permanent employees must complete a 12-month separation and clearance before reapplying
• Candidates currently active with any University of California entity are not eligible for consideration
