Description
American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN - Med/Surg for an ENT unit caring for tracheostomy and laryngectomy patients, requiring GA or compact RN licensure and 18 months of experience.
Details
- General Surgical/ENT unit caring for general surgery, bariatric surgery, and head/neck surgery patients
- Patient population includes those with tracheostomies and laryngectomies
- Night shift schedule: 3x12s, 36 hours/week
- 30-minute meal break
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license in hand
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications (AHA)
- Minimum 18 months of RN experience required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Skilled surgical nursing background required
Additional Information
- Provide specialized nursing care for ENT surgical patients including trach and laryngectomy management
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
- Former Emory or Houston Methodist perm staff must be separated for 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
- RTO limited to a maximum of 5 days if not falling on or near a holiday, or 3 days if it does
- Only one holiday time-off request is permitted
