Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Sonographer for an evening shift assignment requiring 18+ months of Echo experience and Level II Trauma experience.

Details

• Work in the Echocardiography department within an inpatient hospital setting
• Patient population ranges from 18 to 100+ years of age
• Average caseload of 7 cases per day with potential for more or less depending on volume
• Evening shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, 40 hours per week
• No call or weekend requirements
• May float across Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist campuses as needed
• Uses Philips ultrasound equipment
• Charts using EPIC and Xcelera systems

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of Echo experience required
• Minimum of 24 months of Echocardiographer/Echo Tech experience required for consideration
• ARDMS (RDCS) certification required
• Strong experience and proficiency with Philips equipment required
• EPIC and Xcelera charting system experience required
• Level II Trauma experience required
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Current or recent hospital experience highly preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Driver's license required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• First-time travelers welcomed provided they have at least 24 months of experience
• Unless the unit is closed, contractors are required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Winter holidays
• Scrubs required in gray, navy blue, or black solid tops and bottoms
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Past UPH employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are restricted from working travel assignments in another market within 12 months of separation
• A professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months is preferred
