Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient rehabilitation clinic in Pismo Beach, CA, requiring an active state PT license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Outpatient/rehabilitation clinic setting
• Day shift schedule with a preferred 4x9's & 1x4 schedule
• 13-week assignment
• Uses Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries

Requirements

• Active PT license required in the state of practice (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Degree in Physical Therapy required
• Strong computer skills including Word, Internet, and EMR systems
• Proficiency in DX and ICD-10 coding for billing purposes
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods during 8-10 hour work days
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient transfers and mobility

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
• Supervises PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care
• Communicates with physicians and office staff to ensure quality patient care and accurate documentation
• Involved in patient scheduling, follow-up, and occasionally business marketing and referral processes
• Must be familiar with PT billing policies including Medicare, workers' comp, private, auto, and cash pay
• Expected to maintain patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA and company policy
• No travel required for this position
