Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care hospital role requiring ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certification with 2+ years of radiology experience.
Details
- Acute care inpatient hospital setting
- Variable shift schedule including weekends and after-hours
- Performs CT exams for NICU, CCU, ED, and other hospital departments as requested
- Participates in call rotation as scheduled or needed
- 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours
Requirements
- Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program or equivalent
- ARRT R.T.(R) and ARRT R.T.(CT) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of radiology experience as a registered technologist
- Active state license required if applicable
- Trauma center (Level I or II) CT experience preferred
- Must be able to lift and support up to 50 pounds and assist with patient transfers
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for 8+ hours and work extended or flexible shifts
Additional Information
- Operates CT scanner and adjusts scanning parameters to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Performs routine quality inspections and quality control maintenance on scanner equipment
- Assists radiologists and medical staff during exams and procedures
- Completes documentation for interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams
- Works independently in a busy, high-acuity inpatient environment
- Trains and supports peer staff
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, and infectious materials as part of routine duties
- May involve emotionally challenging interactions with patients and families
- Candidates must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be considered
