Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN Step Down for a 13-week telemetry/PCU assignment requiring 2 years of acute care experience and a WI or compact RN license.
Details
- Works in a Telemetry Unit within a hospital setting
- May be placed on a PCU, Med-Surg, or Med-Surg/Telemetry unit based on facility need and traveler skill set
- Day shift schedule from 07:00 to 19:30
- Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
- Floating required within skill set or to sites within 40 miles as needed
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU, Med-Surg, or Med-Surg/Telemetry acute care experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills assessment
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
- Care team supports patients on telemetry, PCU, or Med-Surg units depending on facility needs
- Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location
- Only one submission permitted per Ascension system-wide position
- Travelers should discuss extension opportunities with their manager at least 45 days before assignment end date
