Description
American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a day shift position requiring ME or compact RN license and at least 2 years of ED experience.
Details
- Emergency Department setting offering a full spectrum of emergency care with a separate Chest Pain Center
- Day shift schedule, 7a-7p
- 13-week assignment
- May be required to work charge nurse and preceptor roles if needed
Requirements
- Active ME or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
- At least 2 years of ED experience required
- At least 1 year of critical care nursing experience required
- Candidates with hits or actions on license/background will not be accepted
Additional Information
- Responsible for direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process across all areas of the unit
- Assess patients on admission and throughout their stay
- Administer IV medications, therapy, and blood products as needed
- Provide patient education and document nursing care actions, teaching, observations, and patient responses
- Previous employees of the facility are not eligible for consideration
- Local candidates are accepted at a lower rate
