Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Free Standing Emergency Department position requiring a TX or compact RN license and TNCC certification.
Details
- Work in an 11-bed Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED)
- AM and PM shift rotation with shift hours from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
- Staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 1 RN per shift
- Equipment used includes ventilators and point-of-care lab machines
- EMR system used is Meditech
- Weekend rotation required
- No on-call requirements
- Common procedures include IV starts and 12-lead EKG/patient assessments
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- CPI certification required for ER units
- NIH Stroke Certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Emergency Department nursing
- FSED experience preferred
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Deliver emergency nursing care including triage, assessment, and treatment
- Work collaboratively within a small, close-knit care team
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Local candidates will not be considered
- First-time travelers may be considered
