Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift contract requiring TNCC, ENPC, and CPI certifications.
Details
- Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) setting within a hospital system
- 26-bed unit with approximately 67 staff members
- Day shift staffing includes 1 CNC, 1 HUC, 7-9 RNs, and 2 PCTs/Paramedics
- Night shift staffing includes 1 CNC, 1 HUC, 6-7 RNs, and 2 PCTs/Paramedics
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Uses ventilators, EKG, and Teleneuro equipment
- Level 3 EMR system
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- No on-call requirements
- Weekend work required (4 weekend days)
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI certifications required
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Emergency Department specialty required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- Professional references required (quantity varies by state)
Additional Information
- Performs IV insertion, EKG, in-and-out Foley catheterization, lumbar puncture, central line care, moderate sedation, and cardioversion
- Team-oriented environment seeking energetic and adaptable staff
- Scrub color requirement: cobalt/royal blue only
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
