Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a travel assignment requiring TN or compact RN licensure and AWHONN certification.
Details
- Work in the Labor & Delivery/Nursery/Postpartum unit of a Level III Trauma Center
- 5-bed Labor & Delivery unit caring for maternity patients and newborns
- Patient ratios of 1:1 for patients on Pitocin and 1:2 otherwise
- Facility performs its own c-sections, and candidates should be able to circulate
- Uses OB TraceVue for fetal strip charting and Meditech for EHR documentation
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend rotation required, with additional weekend hours as needed
- Floating required as needed
- On-call requirement of 2 shifts within a 6-week period
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN
- Minimum of 1 year Labor and Delivery experience required
- Fetal monitoring experience required
- Couplet care, PALS, and Centricity experience preferred but not required
- Tennessee Abuse Registry check required prior to start
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care to maternity patients and newborns in a Labor & Delivery setting
- Positive attitude, cooperation, and initiative are valued traits for this role
- Scrub color is unrestricted
- Weekly orientation held on Mondays
- Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
- Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
