Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with strong ortho experience for a 12-hour day shift contract requiring an active FL or compact RN license.
Details
- Operating Room unit setting
- 12-hour day shifts on Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:30A to 7P
- Call required
- Floating required to other operating rooms at sister campuses, with travelers prioritized for floating
- EMR system used is Epic
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license, verifiable through Nursys
- 2 years of OR RN experience required
- Strong orthopedic surgery experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Nursing degree accreditation must be documented, or 5 years of experience required in lieu of accreditation documentation
- Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing
Additional Information
- Must reside within a 50 mile radius of the facility, strictly enforced
- Candidates must not own or cosign on property within the 50 mile radius
- Candidates commuting from the east coast of Florida or planning to travel home between shifts are discouraged, as full-time local housing is expected
- Orientation begins on a Friday and includes remote orientation plus an in-person visit for badge and ID
- All requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to starting the assignment and cannot be added afterward
- No block scheduling requests accommodated
- Candidates must be flexible and team-oriented, as this is a priority for the facility
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
