Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with strong ortho experience for a hospital OR assignment requiring an active FL or compact RN license.
Details
- Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
- 12-hour day shifts scheduled Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
- Call requirements apply
- EMR system used is Epic
- Floating to sister campus OR units may be required
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license, verifiable through Nursys at time of application
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
- Strong orthopedic surgical experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Nursing degree accreditation must be documented, or 5 years of experience required in lieu of accreditation documentation
- Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing
Additional Information
- Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room, with an emphasis on orthopedic procedures
- Travelers may be prioritized for floating assignments to sister campus OR units located within 15-20 minutes of the main facility
- Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and a team-oriented approach
- Orientation begins on a Friday, including remote components and an in-person visit for badge and ID
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and not own or co-sign property within that radius to qualify for travel assignment
- No block scheduling requests accepted
- All requested time off must be submitted prior to offer, as later requests will not be accommodated
- Prior travel nurse experience preferred
