Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 1-2 years of experience and neonatal/pediatric exposure.
Details
- 217-bed regional health center, Level VI trauma facility
- Respiratory Therapy department on the 3rd floor
- Patient population includes geriatric, adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
- Uses V-60/VOCSN/Hamilton, Vapotherm, and Airvo2 equipment
- Meditech EHR system
- Day shift 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- No call requirements
- No floating required
Requirements
- NBRC CRT or RRT certification required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Care required
- 1-2 years of experience required
- Experience with high-risk deliveries preferred
- Pediatric and neonatal experience preferred
- Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills required
- Experience implementing and managing invasive and non-invasive equipment required
- Iowa license application must be completed prior to applying
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform patient assessments and implement respiratory treatments and therapies
- Attend high-risk deliveries as needed
- Must pass Iowa SING background check including criminal and child abuse portions with no exceptions
- Mandatory reporter certification required for both child and adult
- 10-panel drug screening required, including opiates
- Monday or Tuesday start dates accepted
- Candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at local rate
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time during assignment
