Description

American Traveler is hiring a Rapid Response RN for the Emergency Department, requiring TNCC and ENPC certifications along with ACLS and BLS.

Details

• Work in a 38-bed Emergency Department with 3 main areas: Rapid Response, Main, and POD 3 (psych safe area)
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 6-week assignment with 48 hours per week
• Uses equipment including ventilators, BiPAP, EKG, arterial lines, Belmont rapid infuser, and chest tube systems
• Performs procedures such as port placement and chest tube insertion
• Meditech EMR used
• Floating to Brookside ED required
• Minimum of 4 weekend shifts and 2 Fridays required per 4-week schedule
• Coverage required for 2 major and 2 minor holidays

Requirements

• Active RN license (Missouri or Compact) required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and ENPC
• De-escalation course required; CPI preferred
• Strong prioritizing and time management skills required
• Team player with strong attention to detail

Additional Information

• Care delivered in a fast-paced, high-acuity Rapid Response ED setting
• Navy blue scrub attire required
• No RTO or special scheduling accommodations available
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Best fit candidates are patient-focused, detail-oriented, positive, and coachable
