Description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 5+ years of ED experience and a VA or compact RN license.

Details

  • Emergency Room unit with 31 beds and 2 triage rooms, with 7 beds utilized for Behavioral Health or Acute patients
  • Serves all patient age groups from pediatric to geriatric
  • Patient ratio of 1:4, with exceptions for discharges awaiting transport, admit holds, or high-volume periods
  • Uses MedHost as the primary ED EHR, with Meditech used for admit holds (EMAR) and extended behavioral health stays
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 36 hour weekly schedule
  • Rotating weekends required, every other weekend
  • Floating as needed
  • No call requirements

Requirements

  • Active RN license (VA or Compact) required
  • 5+ years of Emergency Department experience required
  • ICU experience combined with ED experience will also be considered
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS or ENPC
  • Handle with Care certification available on-site if not already held

Additional Information

  • Work within a 250-bed academic community hospital with 24-hour ED services
  • Facility is a designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center
  • Consent to random on-site drug screening and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form required
  • Scrubs of any color permitted
  • Team environment values professionalism, positivity, compassion, and collaboration
  • Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
  • Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for travel rate consideration
