Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatrics/NICU Nights position requiring 2 years of inpatient pediatric experience and PALS certification.
Details
- Night shift position in a Women & Children's Unit with 16 LDRP rooms, 6 NICU rooms, and 4 pediatric rooms
- Cares for patients 0-17 years of age with conditions including respiratory support (NC, HFNC), general surgery, limited orthopedics, diabetes, general medical diagnoses, and limited-volume outpatient infusions
- Patient assignments of 3-4:1 depending on acuity
- Core staffing includes 6 RNs and 2 LNAs per shift
- Medical oversight provided by Pediatric Hospitalists who also cover the Emergency Department
- Uses EPIC EMR and Plum IV Pumps
- Shift hours are 19:00-07:30
- Rare house-wide floating possible for 1:1 coverage only
- May float to NICU to cover Eat, Sleep, Console or feeder/grower assignments depending on competence and comfort level
Requirements
- Active RN license (NH or Compact)
- BLS and PALS certification required
- 2 years of inpatient pediatric experience required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Primary source license verification required within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration
- Both NURSYS and BON verification required for nursing licenses
- NH state background check required, including NH Criminal Background check and NH BEAS record check
- Respirator FIT test required, preferably completed prior to start
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric and NICU patients across a range of medical and surgical conditions
- Staff wear hospital-issued scrubs
- Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level
