Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Pediatrics for a 13-week night shift NICU/Pediatrics assignment requiring 2 years of inpatient pediatric experience and an active NH or Compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift schedule from 07:00 to 19:30 on a Women & Children's Unit with 16 LDRP rooms, 6 NICU rooms, and 4 pediatric rooms
• Cares for patients ages 0-17 with needs including respiratory support (NC, HFNC), general surgery, limited orthopedics, diabetes management, general medical diagnoses, and limited outpatient infusions
• Patient assignments typically 3-4:1 depending on acuity
• Core staffing includes 6 RNs and 2 LNAs per shift
• Medical oversight provided by Pediatric Hospitalists who also cover the Emergency Department
• Uses EPIC EMR and Plum IV pumps
• Possible floating house-wide for 1:1 coverage or to NICU for Eat, Sleep, Console or feeder/grower assignments based on competency
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (NH or Compact) required; if applying for an NH license, must apply for an emergency license within 48 hours of applying for permanent license
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• 2 years of inpatient pediatric experience required
• Primary source license verification required within 30 days of start date
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Staff wear hospital-issued scrubs
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility to be eligible for the standard rate
• Respirator fit test strongly preferred prior to start; if pending, must be completed within 14 days of start
• NH-based background checks required, including a Criminal Background check through NH State Police and a BEAS record check
