Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a 36-hour rotating shift position requiring tele strip interpretation skills and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• 41-bed Medical Telemetry unit (Davenport 7) specializing in cardiac care
• Patient population includes cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psych, substance use disorder, GU, and GI cases
• Clinician to patient ratio of 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on evenings/nights
• Uses EPIC charting system
• Day positions rotate between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, and 7p-7a shifts
• Night positions are straight nights
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to applicable units as needed
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license (no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS certification required
• AHA ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in one location
• Minimum of 2 years experience working as a traveler
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, cardiac drips, TR bands, and high-flow oxygen required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a busy medical telemetry unit managing cardiac and multi-system patients
• Local candidates accepted; those residing within 60 miles of the facility will receive a reduced rate
• First-time travelers not considered for this position given the experience requirements
