Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/Postpartum (LDRP) night shift position requiring MI licensure and prior L&D/postpartum experience.
Details
- Family Birthing Center unit within a 36-bed, Level III Trauma hospital with Level I maternal and neonatal designation
- Unit includes 5 LDRP beds, 3 overflow beds, and 3 triage beds
- Patient population includes a variety of low to high-risk obstetric cases, including low-volume SUD patients
- Staffing follows AWHONN ratios
- Uses Meditech and OBIX EHR systems
- Equipment includes 1 main OR, epidural and nitrous services, and Monica Novi wireless monitoring
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Required to work every third weekend
- No call requirements
- No floating requirements
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required
- Minimum of 3 years of L&D, postpartum, and newborn experience required
- ADN required
- Required certifications: NRP, BLS, EFM
- Must have hands-on experience in Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum care
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- AHA certifications required
Additional Information
- Facility serves the Western Upper Michigan Peninsula and offers services including cardiopulmonary, orthopedic, sports medicine, wound care, sleep disorder care, and dialysis
- Hospital features an Open Bore MRI and is a Verified Chest Pain Center
- Scrub color is flexible but must not feature cartoon characters, and blue jeans are not permitted
- Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel assignment
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates must not be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
