Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med-Surg/Tele/Ortho position requiring 2 years of acute inpatient tele experience and a KY or compact RN license.
Details
- Med-Surg/Tele/Ortho unit with 24 beds
- Patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1
- Mixed diagnosis patient population
- Night shift, 645p-715a, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, every other weekend per unit need
- Uses Epic and Galaxy Blue charting systems
- RN must read telemetry and titrate heparin drips
Requirements
- Active RN license (KY or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS
- 2 years of acute inpatient tele RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- Skilled in IVs, CPAP, trach care, wound vac, PCA, dialysis fistula care, central line care, and feeding tubes
Additional Information
- Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in a Med-Surg/Tele/Ortho environment
- Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and functions as a mentor/preceptor
- Strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
- Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts
- Complies with regulatory standards and the facility's Practice Governance model
