Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry unit position requiring 2 years acute inpatient tele experience and a KY or compact RN license.
Details
- Work on a 59-bed Cardiac Telemetry/Mixed Acuity unit
- Patient ratio of 4-6:1
- Fast-paced cardiac focus including cath and stress test diagnostics
- Administers medications such as milrinone, dobutamine, heparin, and amiodarone
- Uses dynamaps and telemetry monitors
- Uses Epic EMR
- Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
- Works every other weekend per unit need
- 36 hours per week over 3 shifts
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years acute inpatient telemetry RN experience
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating patient plans of care
- Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and functions as a mentor/preceptor
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support patient and family needs
- Facilitates patient and family education throughout care and at discharge
- Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement initiatives
- Follows a Practice Governance model within the unit
