Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2 years of acute inpatient PCU experience and NIHSS certification.
Details
- Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule from 0645-1915
- Every other weekend required per unit need
- 36 hours per week across 3 shifts of 12 hours each
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient PCU RN experience required
- Neuro experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
Additional Information
- Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating patient plans of care
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and coordinates patient/family education
- Supervises and delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff, functioning as a mentor/preceptor
- Participates in quality, safety, and process improvement efforts within a Practice Governance framework
