Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) role requiring 2 years of acute care PCU experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting within a hospital
- Day shift schedule, 06:45-19:15, three 12-hour shifts per week
- 36 hours per week with every other weekend required per unit need
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient PCU RN experience required
- Neuro experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
Additional Information
- Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for a group of patients
- Supervises and delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff
- Provides patient and family education specific to care, treatment, and discharge needs
- Mentors and precepts staff while promoting teamwork and quality improvement efforts
- Participates in a Practice Governance model and complies with regulatory standards
