Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring active Oregon RN licensure and prior travel experience.
Details
- Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of an acute care hospital
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
- No on-call responsibilities
- Float requirements include MS/Tele, Med Surg Neuro, Med Surg Onc, Med Surg Ortho, and general Medical Surgical units
- Occasional floating to University District facility may be required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active Oregon RN license required (pending license applications accepted)
- Active OR RN license required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS, NIHSS, and Chemo certifications preferred
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg acute care RN experience required
- Previous travel experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers may be considered with screening
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, peripheral line care, and PICC line management required
- Two professional references from the past 2 years required, including at least one from a supervisor or charge nurse
- Candidates with more than one DUI are not eligible for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
- Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and line management duties as part of daily responsibilities
- Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside 60+ miles from the facility
- Previous PeaceHealth travel or permanent employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning
- First-time travelers will be considered but may undergo additional screening
- Some holiday RTO may be approved depending on unit needs
- Start date may be delayed up to 8 weeks if candidate's state license is still in process
